Came up with some patterns. Experimenting with the Weavers Studio style of patterns. May or may not take them forward.
Did a lot of photogrpahy past few days. Came up with a new set of moodboards. Looked into different themes- transport, street food, signage/script, architecture etc.
Have started making patterns from the moodboard for block printing. Putting up some of them.
Did a bit of photography for the moodboard. Captured some old, worn out and crumbling street walls, which, with time, have grown moss, peeled off paint and faded color giving out a sense of age and time. Came up with a few options and decided to take foward the first one.
I am using 'visual culture' as the umbrella theme for my project. Did some reading on the subject to understand the term, and then a mindmap to narrow it down to something specific. I chose to work on street culture. Looked at the graphics, posters, textures, colors, old grungy walls etc. for inspiration.
